For nearly two decades, GECU has partnered with DBSI on a transformation strategy built on data-driven insights, modern design, and scalable digital solutions. Our collaboration now marks a new milestone, expanding GECU’s reach into New Mexico.

GECU entered the Las Cruces market in 2023 with a mortgage office dedicated to helping residents achieve their homeownership goals. Since then, it has deepened its community presence through initiatives such as back-to-school drives, donations, and a partnership with NMSU Athletics.
The new Las Cruces branch builds on that momentum, delivering a purpose-built space that underscores GECU’s long-term investment in the community, while showcasing DBSI’s expertise in designing, building, and scaling transformation strategies that drive growth.

To add support to its underserved communities, GECU needed more than a new branch—it needed an approach shaped by the people and communities it was created to serve. Once again, GECU turned to DBSI as its strategic partner to design a scalable model that reduces costs, elevates advisory services, and integrates self-service banking.
Built from the ground up, the New Mexico location embodies GECU’s growth strategy, guided by DBSI’s real estate expertise and member behavior analytics. Every decision, from site selection to layout, was designed to meet today’s needs and prepare for future expansion.
Design That Connects
Inside the branch, members are welcomed by a custom mural of the vibrant desert and iconic Organ Mountains, transforming the space into both a financial hub and a cultural landmark that honors the community it serves.
Experience Meets Efficiency
The Las Cruces branch’s intentional design shifts the focus from transactions to conversations. Traditional teller lines give way to conversation towers that foster an advisory experience, while the open floor plan encourages face-to-face interactions.
Dynamic digital signage further amplifies the GECU brand beyond banking hours and equips staff with smarter tools to engage members from anywhere throughout the space.
