Creating Community-Centered Experiences Through Strategic Digital Storytelling
Founded in 1991, Ledyard Bank has built its reputation on delivering personalized financial solutions and fostering strong community connections across New Hampshire and Vermont.
Opening the new Bedford Financial Center in New Hampshire marked an important strategic step, bringing Ledyard’s relationship-driven approach to one of the state’s fastest-growing and most vibrant communities.
To bring this vision to life, Ledyard partnered with DBSI’s full-service Creative Experience Agency to create an immersive digital implementation. At the center of Ledyard Bank’s new Bedford Financial Center is proof that branch screens don’t have to be boring. Anchored by a hand-drawn, wall-spanning mural of Bedford landmarks and traditions, DBSI integrated both traditional and interactive digital displays directly into the artwork.
The result is a space that redefines the banking experience and deepens the connection between Ledyard and the Bedford community.

A Digital Experience That Connects
At the heart of the Bedford branch is a custom, wall-spanning mural that intertwines Bedford’s most recognizable landmarks and traditions with a visual timeline of Ledyard’s history.
What makes this mural stand out is how art and technology merge into a cohesive story. Each element is hand-drawn, capturing the history of Bedford’s landmarks and Ledyard’s journey. Layered into this backdrop are digital screens that extend the story beyond what’s on the wall, transforming a fixed timeline into a living one. The result is an experience that feels both rooted in tradition and constantly evolving. This approach is one Ledyard now plans to replicate in future locations.
DBSI integrated a suite of digital signage and interactive tools to bring the mural and overall branch experience to life.

All content was custom-designed to match the mural’s palette and visual style, ensuring harmony between static art and digital layers. The technology enhances, rather than distracts from, the story of community and client connection.


Impact that Lasts Beyond the Branch
The project’s result is an immersive client experience. Visitors are drawn to the interactive display, exploring local history and Ledyard’s story in ways that spark conversations and build relationships. Staff now have new touchpoints to connect with clients, using the digital features as entryways into broader discussions.
The mural’s digital elements are built to evolve with the community. Content can be updated to showcase milestones, seasonal celebrations, or new community highlights, ensuring the installation remains relevant, fresh, and meaningful for years to come.
The Bedford Financial Center’s digital transformation demonstrates how thoughtful technology integration can extend beyond branch design, becoming a dynamic storytelling platform that deepens community ties, strengthens brand presence, and reimagines the branch experience.
