As Indiana’s largest credit union, Teachers Credit Union had already built a strong legacy of trust and growth. But with a bold rebrand to Everwise Credit Union and no plans to slow down, it was time to evolve—not just in name, but in experience.
With a network of 60+ branches, Everwise saw an opportunity to streamline operations and amplify its refreshed brand identity. To bring this vision to life, they partnered with DBSI to create a next-generation inline branch model that balances efficiency, self-service, and powerful brand presence.
In just over six weeks, that vision became reality with the launch of an innovative inline branch inside a Meijer grocery store in Indianapolis—proving that transformation doesn’t have to take years.
Introducing a Smarter Self-Service Experience
At Everwise Credit Union’s new inline branch, convenience isn’t just a feature—it’s the foundation. Located inside a Meijer grocery store, this prototype branch brings everyday banking to where members already are. With integrated Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), members can complete transactions on their own schedule—quickly, easily, and without waiting in line.
This evolution is about more than ease alone. It’s a strategic move toward greater operational efficiency. By embracing advanced self-service technology, the branch reduces staffing needs while still delivering high-tech, high-touch service where it counts.

Recognizing that not every financial need fits behind a screen, Everwise, together with our DBSI design team, prioritized space for meaningful human connection. The result: Expert Nearby—a semi-private, strategically placed area designed for in-depth, one-on-one conversations. Seamlessly integrated into the branch layout, it ensures members get the personalized support they value, right alongside the digital tools they expect.
This new model proves that modern banking isn’t about choosing between people and technology—it’s about combining both in a smarter, more intentional way.


24/7 Brand Presence with Dynamic Digital Signage
To bring the bold new Everwise brand to life, DBSI implemented a comprehensive digital signage strategy designed for both impact and adaptability. A strategically placed 86” pillar stretch screen and community board in the lobby ensure the brand remains visible, vibrant, and consistent—day or night—within this high-traffic inline branch.
From seasonal promotions and financial tips to real-time updates and new offerings, this digital ecosystem creates a continuous brand presence that extends beyond traditional banking hours. It transforms every visit into an opportunity for connection, engagement, and a lasting sense of Everwise pride.
